Arts South Edinburgh ArtSE is a South Edinburgh Partnership funded initiative linked to Out Of The Blue. It develops and manages arts activities across South Edinburgh. The ArtSE project is responsible for the Summer Carnival celebrating South Edinburgh and a range of arts based activities throughout the year.

Cafe Connect We offer exciting opportunities to learn new skills and find out more about using computers. We offer help and advice on how to use computer packages and surfing the internet. Individual or group training sessions are available. People are welcome to access the IT facilities for their own interest or just to surf the internet. The Ca(I)re Project gives informal carers a short break from caring. Our project provides a supportive service that offers free adult education courses on subjects suggested by participants, including courses in the arts, complementary therapies, history, music and many others. One-to-one help for carers on their learning or caring needs; Informal lunches, social events and open days. Our tutors are chosen for their expertise in their subjects and for their understanding of carers’ needs.

Careers Scotland provides a range of All Age Guidance services in South Edinburgh, including school based Careers Advisers, a weekly drop-in service provided at Worktrack for 16-18 year olds and intensive support through a project called On-Track. A Careers Adviser is also based in South Edinburgh 1.5 days per week for employed and unemployed adults living in the local area. Group sessions can also be arranged.

Community Based ESL English language provision for speakers of other languages who are permanent residents or refugees. Courses run from one day a week to full-time and cater for a range of interests such as: General English; Preparation for Work or Vocational Training; Computers; Drama and Public Service Interpreting. Courses are run in a variety of community-based centres, some of which have crèches.
